The Island Bride

This piece represents the ‘island bride’. The two-piece contemporary attire comprises a sleeveless top and a long tailed skirt. The top is made from a piece of masi kuvui (smoked masi) and skirt from a Samoan siapo (hand printed tapa). Both pieces are fully lined and are embellished with magimagi (coconut husk fibre) and small shells.
