Iron cookware

These types of cookware, forged from iron, were common in every indentured Indian labourer's kitchen.

The kettle was bought in Navua in 1914. Height: 66cm.

The first iron pot is a damaged gorai hundi. Diameter: 19.5cm; Height: 14cm.

The frying pan was used in the 1880s and 1890s, as were the last two iron pots.
