Gramophone

A gramophone is operated by means of a hand crank on the side and plays music using large vinyl discs on which sound is recorded. The gramophone shown here originally belonged to Mr. Samun Singh - a cane cultivator in Nadi. The gramophone is still in working condition and comes with a case covered with navy blue cloth (now faded). It was purchased in the early 1930's. Length: 38.5cm; Height: 18cm.
