The sarangi is a wooden folk instrument accompanied by a bow. The number of strings on this violin-like musical instrument may vary. This vintage sarangi has five steel strings and the bow is fashioned out of bent twig and nylon fishing line. To change pitch a musician must slide their finger along the string due to a lack of fret or fingerboard, this makes it difficult to play. Length: 80cm.
