Idli pot

Idli is a savoury made from a mixture of fermented ground rice and black gram lentil. After overnight fermentation, the mixture is poured into the hollow sections of the idli plate which is then placed inside the idli pot to be steamed - a typical south-Indian dish which is relished with coconut chutney. The idli pot shown is made of brass with a steel idli plate. Height: 17cm.
