Bitunikesakesa

A rubbing form carved from bamboo. It was used to decorate the barkcloth in some parts of the Viti Levu highlands by placing it under the masi and rubbing over it with black pigment. While the masi barkcloth in this area was made by women, it was unique in Fiji as it was decorated by men. Length: 88cm.
